Frequently Asked Questions

How would you classify yourself as a photographer?

I'm a Fine Artist/ Fine Art Photographer.  I have a diverse background in all mediums of art.  While attaining my B.A. Degree in Fine Art, a background filled with critiques, learning the fundamentals ofcomposition, photojournalism,  design, art concepts, and Art history has helped build me into the photographer I am.  Each photograph stands as its own piece of fine art.  I'm unobtrusive, in that my style is more unposed, candid, photojournalistic.  I do take formal posed pictures as well, but as you will see in my work, I focus on details --- everything you planned falls into place on your wedding day, I document that.  As well as things that happen, that other's may not see (such as the flower girl descending a staircase from a bird's eye view).  Feel free to read some of my testimonials.  click here for testimonials.

Where are you located?

I am located in Brick NJ and will cover weddings in the following counties:  Middlesex, Monmouth, Union, and Ocean.  I am able to work in other counties if compensated for travel time.

To book your wedding date, or if you have any questions please call or email me.  Thank you for your consideration.

Can I buy the negatives?

You don't have to buy them - you will posess the rights to all of your photos.  You hired me for my talent, that's what I'm charging you for.  The images are yours.  You will recieve a CD with high resolution digital copies of your pictures for you to keep and reproduce anywhere you choose, on your own. They are more precious than the wedding dress. Decades later, you can always have them reprinted digital files or CD.

What do you do if your equipment breaks down?

Go to my back-up. I carry a minimum of two cameras with all the accessories.  If a piece of equipment breaks down (which I've never had happen) I just switch to another "back-up."

How do I know you know what you’re doing?

Two ways. First, look at my pictures. After all, that’s what this is all about, Pictures. If you don’t like my pictures, don’t hire me. If you DO like my pictures, that’s the bottom line. There are some pictures on this website.  My site shows a portion of my work, but I'd like for you to see all of my work of a complete wedding.  I can direct you to a private website with a password where my weddings are stored.  Email me to see a complete wedding.

Canon  EOS 1-D digital camera

This camera holds TWO memory cards, should one fail, ALL pictures have also been saved on back up memory card.  (Although I've never had a memory card fail, I appreciate the benefit and ability of this camera to save each image in 2 places within the camera.)

By recording your wedding with digital imagery, I can convert EVERY picture from color to black and white, and sepia tone.  Also, more importantly after taking a picture I can instantly see the results.  I will know, and retake the picture at that moment.  Every one of your pictures (with a full day, you will have at least 1000 images) will be quality pieces of art.    My main camera produces 8.6 megapixel image resolution, creating crisp clear pictures in even poster sizes.

How long does it take to get my pictures?

Usually within 3-4 weeks  after your wedding. I convert them all so you have color, black and white, and sepia of each image, then I upload them to Shutterfly.com  where you, your family, and your friends can view them at no charge, and buy prints of any images you choose.  Current prices as of 08/20/08 are .59 cents per print.   You will also have the disc with images, and can purchase prints where ever you would like.

Do you ever do more than one wedding in a day?

Absolutely not.  When you hire me, your wedding is my only priority that day.  I owe it to you as my customer, and wouldn't have it any other way.

What if we have to cancel our wedding?

If I am able to schedule another wedding on your date, I will refund your retainer. If not, there is no refund.  If you reschedule your wedding to another date and I am free for that date, you have first call on my services at no additional charge. Remember, I promise first-come, first-served and I do NOT double-book weddings.
